A Gift of Tea

For my teachers this year, I made mini pizza boxes with tea bag cards inside. The boxes hold 3 mini cards, each of which has a specialty tea bag in it. I used Kraft card stock for the base and layered it with Chocolate Chip, Cameo Coral, and Whisper White card stock. The Whisper White layer is punched using the Spiral punch. The image comes from the Pun Fun stamp set, and the sentiment comes from the Fundamental Phrases stamp set. A Cameo Coral grosgrain ribbon finishes it off.

A Birthday Card for a Sweet Young Lady

As Kat turned 17 this year and is just a hop, skip, and a very short jump away from adulthood, I decided it was time to make her a "grown up" birthday card. As my friends know, this is definitely outside my comfort zone! But I gave it a good shot and here's the result. Kat liked it, and actually, I think it turned out rather nicely! :)

The base is Whisper White cardstock, and the layers are alternating Razzleberry Lemonade DSP and Rich Razzleberry textured cardstock. The "K" is stamped in Rich Razzleberry on Very Vanilla cardstock and punched with the Curly Label Punch. I added a splash of Rich Razzleberry polka dot grosgrain ribbon and a few pieces from the Hodgpodge Hardware Kit in Stylized Vanilla to finish it off.

Here's a side view so you can see the layers:

Gianna's Gift

Gianna Claire, the daughter of a dear friend and his wife, receives this name frame. We used the In Colors as our main palette -- they're so awesome!

The base is Crushed Curry textured card stock and the letter mats are Rich Razzleberry textured card stock. The letters are stamped in Melon Mambo on Whisper White card stock, which was run through the Big Shot for a fun polka dot texture.

The butterflies are stamped in Dusty Durango, Melon Mambo, and Rich Razzleberry on Whisper White card stock, cut out, and mounted on Stampin' Dimensionals. The letters and images are from -- sadly -- retired sets. Sorry about that. Gotta invest in a fun new alphabet set!

The Big Shot was used again for the flowers and the label die cuts, all of which are made using textured card stock in the In Colors. The sentiment is stamped in Rich Razzleberry.

Here are a few more angles:

Ari's Gift

Our little friend Arianna turned 4 a few weeks ago, so Kat made a name frame for her! Name frames are pretty much our favorite gifts to give, and they're so easy to make. We buy the 12" x 6" frames, since those seem to accommodate almost any size name beautifully.

Kat used the new Razzleberry Lemonade (#115675) designer series paper as the base of her design, then topped it with Summer Sun (#103124) card stock which she textured using the Big Shot (#113439)... yes, we are loving our new toy! The letters are stamped in Melon Mambo (#115656, from the new In Color line) and the image and sentiment are Basic Black (#101179).

For stamps, she used God's Beauty (retired Hostess Set -- wasn't retired when she used it) and the Big Deal Alphabet (wish that set hadn't gone away with the last catalog!). The great thing about name frames is that you can use any alphabet and stamp set -- whatever fits the recipient the best! I think it's time to pick out a fun new alphabet set for us. Hmmm.... maybe Schoolbook Serif (#113510) or Varsity (#113684). We'll let you know which one it is when it happens!

Here's a full view of the frame. It's way too bright, but you get the idea. :) Next post, a name frame for our friend Gianna.

Pia
