Kat's Birthday Goody Gifts

Kat turned 17 yesterday, and we had a beach bbq party last Saturday to celebrate! We took advantage of the way cool Summer Fun promotion and ordered a bunch of FUN stuff to make her goody gifts! These are pillow boxes. Kat and her friend Lissa used two of the Texturz Stampin' Up! plates and the Pillow Box punch for the Big Shot to prep the boxes, then filled them with Hershey Nuggets (photo below). They're decorated with the Darling Dots stamp set (Level I hostess set, only available through June 30th) and the "Thank You" stamp from the Cute and Curly set in the Curly Punch Bundle (available only through June 30th). We goofed (shhhh!) and ordered two packs of textured cardstock in the new In Colors -- we wanted plain cardstock for our boxes -- so we just used Rich Regals and Bold Brights papers and the new In Colors (coming out July 1st) plus Tempting Turquoise for the inks. The ribbons are from our stash.

Another Easter Gift

These are goody boxes that we made (before-and-after-filling pics above) for our good friends. We filled them with those yummy Milano cookies and some chocolate eggs. The ribbon is some polka dot ribbon from our stash and the textured card stock is also from our stash, but the stamp is from Stampin' Up! These were fun, easy, and so quick to make. We'll be doing them again for other holidays!

A Month? Really?

Wow, it's hard to believe that a whole month has passed by since our last post. So much has happened...

Kat's grandfather passed away. He's now in a better place, looking down in love on his granddaughter.

Work has been amazingly crazy... well, not amazingly... it's just a busy time of year in youth ministry!

We've moved to a new house. We now have a wonderful craft room that we're setting up, and can't wait to break it in! We're unpacking our things, and definitely the stamp supplies are close to the top of our list. :)
