You Color My Life

Here's another fun creation! How perfect is this for a birthday, or a thank you, or a friendship card?

Kat combined stamped images with some freehand lettering to create a truly one-of-a-kind project. I totally love the 3-D water on the inside! I'll let her hop on a bit later to give you the scoop on how she made this card.

Have a great day,
Pia

Card Details

Here are the details for that last card. Everything's Stampin' Up! on this one. :)

The base is Whisper White cardstock and the large mat is Cameo Coral cardstock.

The balloons were stamped on Whisper White in Ridinghood Red, Baja Breeze, and Yoyo Yellow. We masked the red balloon and stamped the yellow and blue balloons over it. We stamped the last balloon in Kiwi Kiss on Whisper White, cut it out, and used Stampin' Dimensionals to give it some lift (pardon the pun!). Then we drew the ribbon strings in black with a Stampin' Write Journaler. The oval was punched out of Cameo Coral cardstock using the Oval Punch, and the "For You" sentiment was stamped in Ridinghood Red on Whisper White and punched out with the Word Window Punch; then it was mounted onto the oval and finally onto the white balloon layer. The balloon layer was matted onto Kraft cardstock, and then the whole thing was adhered to the Cameo Coral layer with Stampin' Dimensionals.

We stamped the sentiment in Ridinghood Red on Whisper White, coloring & stamping each word separately so we could cut them apart with plenty of white space around each one. Then we mounted them onto Kraft cardstock and adhered them to the Cameo Coral layer with Sticky Strip.

The cupcake base was stamped in Baja Breeze on Whisper White, cut out, and adhered to the Cameo Coral layer. The candles were stamped in Kiwi Kiss with Yoyo Yellow "flames" on Whisper White, cut out, and then were adhered to the Cameo Coral layer. The cupcake frosting was stamped in Ridinghood Red on Whisper White, cut out, and then mounted onto the Cameo Coral layer using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Inside the card, we stamped Happy Birthday in Kiwi Kiss, the gift base in Baja Breeze, and the ribbon in Ridinghood Red.

All-in-all, this card only took about 20 minutes to complete. That was less time than it takes us to browse the card aisles in the store, and it was a lot more fun!

Happy Stamping!

Jumping Right In

Here's the very first card made with our Starter Kit!

Is this birthday set just too much fun, or what??? It's got everything you need, including a party blower (which actually wasn't used on this card). And you've got so many options because the frosting is a separate stamp from the cupcake bottom -- same with the gift box and bow!

The lighting is kind of "off"... the base is actually a nice bright white in real life. Oh, well, such is the life of amateur photographers!

Check back soon for the details on this card along with more cards, a couple of candy boxes we made for Easter, and other cool stuff!

In the meantime, feel free to hop on over to our other stampin' blog -- Stampin' the Good Life -- to see what projects we made before jumping into the world of Stampin' Up demonstratorship!

Happy stamping,
Pia and Kat
